Camping with the Adams'

A few weeks ago we were able to go camping with my family at Camp Peine on the Pend Oreille river in Idaho. It is a church-owned campground that they used for Girl's Camp this year and it was beautiful. We had a great time being outdoors and I know the boys loved being outside almost as much as they like getting dirty.

Here is my Dad with all the grandkids, that just happen to be all boys. That's right, no granddaughters in this crew, at least not yet.

I think Grandpa Adams is rubbing off on them a bit. I can almost hear him saying, "Ahhh, this is the life!"
And of course we can't have any kind of activity without Campbell injuring himself. Here is Travis bandaging Campbell's foot after he stepped on a nail. Ouch!
The river was great and the boys had a blast in the sand and water.
Joann and I were even able to have some fun.
Mason kept wanting to go out on the dock so I was his not-so-little tag along.

Here are some videos of us in the water. We're not quite sure what Mason was so excited about, but he must have enjoyed dunking himself because he kept going back for more.

Campbell latched on to John and just couldn't get enough of "running on water."

We weren't able to have an open fire because of all of the fire restrictions, but we were able to find a way to roast some marshmallows. Mmmmmm.

And pop some popcorn.
That looks tasty guys!
Wow! How many marshmallows can one one year old fit in his mouth? Slow down Mason!

I'd also like to know who told my kids that it wasn't camping until they layed down in the dirt?!?!

Mason is trying to patent this look, "Who me?"
Ahh! It's not breakfast unless you have a mountain of meat! Thanks Joann!

If you look closely you can see a little pregnat belly on Joann. That is the only graddaughter in the group.

Make sure you bless the food that the boys have already eaten. Good job folding your arms Mason. I love it!
Have I mentioned Campbell's love for bacon? He must get that from me.
Here is John, Joann, Andersen, Me, and Travis sitting down to a game of Settlers of Catan. Don't worry, I dominated.

The boys (big and small) loved playing in this field. Nice form Andersen!

We all had a great time and camped until we dropped, litterally. Miracles do happen!

AnnMarie,
My gosh Mason is getting so big. I miss him so much, he is such a cutie! Your tummy keeps getting bigger, when is your due date? Have you decided on a name yet?
