Easter 2010

A few days ago we got these Kinder eggs in the mail from my brother Ben in Portugal. These are so great not just because they are chocolate Easter eggs, but inside is a cool little toy you can put together. Thanks Ben for the awesome Kinder eggs. These bring back great memories! And the boys had a blast putting the toys together.

And Waverly loved shaking hers to death. Luckily she doesn't know what chocolate is, yet.
It was a huge blessing this year to have Easter and General Conference on the same day because Andersen was working, so I didn't have to struggle to get all the kids ready for church and hunt for Easter baskets all by myself. It was a nice relaxing Sunday and Conference was wonderful.
Here are the boys and their Easter spoils. I think it took Campbell 2 hrs. to eat ALL of his candy, which would have made any adult vomit and lapse into a sugar coma. Easter candy always makes me think of our dog Boomer when I was a kid. There were a few Easters when I didn't get any Easter candy because he ate it all when we were at church! Wrappers and all! Here is Waverly and her first Easter. She had a great time pulling out all of the eggs and grass from her Easter basket. I especially love the concentration on her face with the tongue out and everything :o)
Campbell got a balloon twisting kit in his basket so we all know how to twist balloons to look like dogs and swords now. The boys loved this and what mom doesn't like her boys only playing with balloon swords?
I was even up for coloring Easter eggs which was a huge bonus because with Andersen at the hospital I thought it would be a disaster. But the boys were surprisingly careful.
Even Coolidge who wanted to get the eggs out with his hands at first, but decided spoons were a pretty cool way to do it too.
Not bad for spur of the moment Easter eggs.
It worked out perfectly because then I actually had eggs to hide when the boys begged me to do an Easter egg hunt.

Waverly even got her hands on an egg :o)
Then the boys found even more eggs for her to play with. She liked knocking them off her tray the best and luckily I have four boys to chase after them and bring them back to her. That kept them all busy while I made dinner.
And for desert (as if we needed more sugar) I found these totally adorable cakes at Wal-Mart and HAD to get them.
The boys loved them and I was totally surprised when they only took a few bites each and were done. Apparently they DO have a sugar limit. They all wanted to save their chicks and bunnies for later.

We missed Andersen a ton and can't wait to celebrate with him next year!

I love the picture of Waverly with her tongue sticking out. I have a certain picture from my wedding that has her mother doing the same thing. =) too funny.
