I think this picture says it all. Our week has been crazy! And holy cow! Look at that tongue! Porter must be part giraffe.
Since we are trying to keep the house clean so that we can show it at a moment's notice (and my being pregnant), we have taken to eating a lot of quick meals and take out. As you can see pizza was on the menu and where is the best place to eat? No, not at the table, outside is always the safest alternative. If you look closely at the picture you will also notice that we are dining with Superman. Campbell has been wearing that costume for the last week or so. Don't worry, I confiscated it yesterday to wash it before it started taking on super powers of its own, i.e. knocking out villains in a single whiff.
Mason has also discovered super powers of his own, like the atomic diaper sit. Here he is using his powers on Campbell who made the mistake of laying on the floor. He is definitely a force to be reckoned with during "tackle time."
Here Campbell and Mason are helping me clean by building a fort in the living room with all the chairs and pillows. Thanks guys! What great helpers you are!But there are are pluses to selling our house. By trying to stay out of the house we have been able to have some fun adventures with the boys. On Monday we went to see "Meet the Robinsons" at the movie theater and ended up having a private showing. There was only us and two other families. It made watching a movie with the kids quite nice since there was no one around us for the boys to bother. We also ended up at a model home grand opening yesterday that had a free petting zoo, pony ride, bouncing castle, wagon ride, and mechanical bull. It was a blast and I am so mad I didn't have my camera. The boys loved the petting zoo. Especially Mason who could touch all the animals without fear of them charging him. He loved the rabbits and ducks. They even got to see a chicken lay an egg which Porter thought was the coolest. Right up until Campbell decided to make an omelet with the egg on the fence. Oops. Porter and Campbell even rode the mechanical bull.
Last night we decided to have a cookout up in the mountains by our house and invited some of our friends who are also trying to keep houses clean to sell. We all had a great time and luckily no one fell in the fire. Here are Andersen, Campbell, and Mason getting the fire started.
Here is the 'Lord of the Fire' making sure the fire was roastin' hot
And his faithful henchmen looking for fuel to throw on the fire.
And what's a fire without roasting marshmallows? How many does Ryan have on that stick?
And now I would just like to leave you with some words of wonder from Campbell: As Campbell was saying the prayer tonight he said, "And bless mommy that she will be able to pop the baby out." Thanks Campbell! I appreciate the blessing.
