A few Sundays ago after we had made it home from church, Andersen was at the hospital so it was just me trying to calm the after-church-hunger-frenzy. Trying to be a good Mom I decided to fix the boys' favorite, Mac'n Cheese. I finally have it all dished up, the boys are chowing down and I can finally save Coolidge from his car seat meltdown. When I lifted him out of his car seat he had a 5lb. soaking diaper on so I decided to change him before feeding him. Since I changed him in the living room I didn't want to just leave the dirty diaper lying on the floor in there, but he had reached an ear-splitting decibel level trying to tell me that if I didn't feed him right that second he would die, so I lobbed the diaper towards the kitchen. Now, any one who knows me well, knows that I am not a basketball player (that's why I ran Cross Country), and that my hand-eye coordination is a little lacking. To make the shot that I attempted, successfully, one would have to throw the diaper from their knees, over a couch, over our dinning room table, and bank it off the refrigerator for it to successfully reach the kitchen. As you may have guessed, I fell a few feet short. The unfortunate part of my failure was that the diaper successfully made DIRECT contact with Campbell's bowl of Mac'n Cheese, and yes, Mac'n Cheese does EXPLODE when bombed by a loaded 5lb. diaper! As you can see by the pictures below I did manage to get one thing into the kitchen--half of Campbell's Mac'n Cheese.

Of course we all burst into laughter at the sight of Campbell covered in Mac'n Cheese, but the clean up was not so funny, at least not to me. The boys thought it was pretty cool that I had to clean up my own mess. I am STILL finding cheese sauce on the walls.

Oh that story made my day AnnMarie!
LOL!! So stinkin' funny! Thanks for the giggle. I love how you seem to create quite humorous experiences by not even trying to be funny. That is talent! ha! ha!
p.s. Have you guys headed out to Kentucky yet to find a house? If you have thanks alot for calling us! ;)
OH who can believe this!?! Great story! Best one I've heard in forever! And it's totally something I would do too! Thanks for sharing! This totally made my day! Sorry that I'm so overjoyed at your misery! I just really needed a laugh!
That's a very funny story. Thanks so much for sharing.
haha i laughed out loud...totally something i would do
oh-I do stuff like this all the time...I totally understand! It's good to be able to laugh it off though!!
Only someone with a truly amazing sense of humor would stop to take a picture after that! I LOVE it! You had me laughing out loud. Once again I will say that you are SUPER MOM!
They just love it when we do stuff like that, huh? At least it wasn't the diaper that exploded everywhere ;)
You make me laugh...I love it!
Too funny! Thanks for sharing! I found your blog address through Facebook...hope you don't mind! It's fun to see you and your boys!
Wow, maybe you aren't a basketball player, but with the distance you got with that mac and cheese I am sure you could do many other things. It seems like since I became a stay-at-home mom that I have developed an excelent aim for the trash. And even more for the garbage disposal. I can get something almost across the entire house and into the right side of the sink.
lol! that's pretty funny!
hey there,
nice blog, I am rotating through radiology this month and thought of you, radiology has been such a breath of fresh air from all this intern stuff.
take care

Hey AnnMarie, I figured you had a blog so I finally googled you, and voila, thanks for not being paranoid and allowoing your blog to come up on searches.
Glad to see you are doing well. How long are you in Spokane for? Cute baby boy #4! What would your family do if you actually had a girl?
Good to catch up with you!
She shoot, she scores!! AAAHHH! I have had many a moment just as horrible, hilarious, crazy. I'm so glad to not be alone. Thanks for the chuckle. :-) I'll tell ya, that car seat meltdown scream makes us do some pretty crazy things.
