March 4th was Mason's 2nd Birthday and what's better than lunch at McDonald's on your special day? Unfortunately, all Mason likes to eat at McDonald's is the french fries.
But I think the boys like it most for it's play area.
Here is Mason trying to scoot the rest of the way down the slide. What ever happened to "the BIG slides" of MY playground days? The big metal ones with no sides that shot straight down at a 90 degree angle? The ones that would launch you into a gravel pit or packed dirt ground at super sonic speeds? Ahhh, those were the days.
My sister Joann holding her little girl Aubry and Mason waiting for the word "GO" to start opening presents.
We tried to get Mason to hold up 2 fingers, but he just didn't feel like it.
Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Grigg for the great backpack stuffed with goodies. Mason loves it and wears it all the time.
I don't remember what my Dad said, but he probably deserved the flick my Mom had heading his way :0)
The HIT of the party was this little 'Cars' race track that my parents (Dad) got for Mason.
Here's a video of my Dad and Mason playing with it.
"Speed, I AM speed!"
It was totally cute until we could hear Mason that night DRAGGING the race track through the house at 4am in the morning saying, "I AM speed!" Too much sugar maybe?
Mason wasted no time in blowing out his candles. They were out before we even finished singing 'Happy Birthday.'
My Aunt Aneita and cousin Derek were staying at my parents' house so we got to visit with them. It is so nice to be around family.
Our present to Mason was this remote control dinosaur that took Andersen an entire hour to get out of the box. He looks about fed up doesn't he?
Mason wasn't quite sure what to think of it, but he DID have fun beating it up.

wow, looks like a great birthday!
how in the world did you take those pictures of them in the trees? I'm picturing you perched up in an even higher tree...?
We can't wait to see you guys this summer! I love hearing about Mason's personality! Have you guys gone house hunting yet?
PS-I love the picture of the boys in the tree!
The picture of they boys in the tree is taken from my parent's deck. No perching in trees for me!
I can't believe Mason is already
2 years old. I know what you were saying about the slides, what happened to those? Too many broken bones I guess. And birthday lunch at McDonalds, it doesn't get any better than that.
I love the pictures of your family. I can't believe how long it has been. They all look the same, just a little older. Happy Birthday (my kids would pick McDonald's for their birthday's too if given the choice).
What a great party! It was so fun hearing Mason talk. And Coolidge is getting BIG! We can't wait to see you guys and I'm glad you posted again. Happy Birthday Mason!!
Oh yeah! The flick in the face, I couldn't believe I caught that on camera. It makes me giggle just thinking about it. That's was great having everyone together for his birthday. And Mason saying "I am speed" was the best. I love being around for my nephews birthdays, you always have good cake and ice cream.
