4th of July

For the 4th of July yesterday we all decided to go swimming at Coeur d'Alene lake. The beach was packed but the water wasn't as packed. Apparently it was pretty cold water, but the boys seemed to get used to it just fine. Here is Porter trying out his new goggles he got for his birthday.

In this picture you can kind of see how many people were on the beach. Campbell is also getting knocked over by some waves from the boats out in the lake (he wasn't quite used to the water yet so it was a cold dive).

This is Porter and me way out in the water. Porter wanted to touch that boat out there. I was surprised he made it, but I had to help him back.

After the lake we went to my Grandma Adams' house in Post Falls, ID for a BBQ and fireworks. Porter loved lighting all the fireworks he could get his hands on. He's holding a jumbo California candle here. He finally realized that he had to hold it straight out or else he'd get burned from the sparks.

There's Campbell holding a sparkler and still in his swimming suit. You never know when you have to be ready to get wet again. Joann is trying to tell Jimmy not to hold the sparkler too close to his face.

Awww. Here is Andersen and I watching the fireworks. Overall it was a fun night until the Mayor's wife (who lives across the street from my Grandma's house) called the police on us for making too much noise. I know, it is ridiculous since every other house around was shooting off fireworks, too. Oh, well. I guess we have some fireworks to shoot off at New Year's.
