Green Bluff Pumpkins

Back when Andersen's Mom was here we had gone up to Green Bluff, which is a bunch of individually owned farms, and picked pumpkins. It was a beautiful day, just right for picking out the perfect pumpkins. Here are Porter and Mason out in the pumpkin patch searching for the right one. Look at all those pumpkins!

They had these little carts for people to use and of course they were perfect for racing. Go Porter!
The boys also found them fun to ride in.
There were so many fun things to pick from and Porter and Campbell loved picking out cool shaped gourds. We also made it out of there with two bag-fulls of apples. They were delicious!
There were lots of other things to play on there. There was a corn maze with a pirate ship and castle, a train to ride and this little fort.
Mason had the most fun inside, he was just the right size.
We were able to find some pretty good-sized pumpkins and this last Thursday we finally got to carve them.
Unfortunately one of the pumpkins was completely rotted on top. Gross! But we still managed to save the rest of it, it just didn't have a top.
Porter was very eager to help and wanted his pumpkin cut just so.
I think he had a hard time getting all the seeds out of the bottom, but he also didn't want to touch all the gooey stuff.
Unlike Mason who dived right in. The messier the better.
I love this time of year!

Wow! That looks like a lot of fun! I wish there was someplace like that around here! I MISS FALL!!! I miss being able to carve pumpkins and not have them rot from the extreme heat (It's still in the 90's here!) Someday we'll live where there are actual seasons. You guys are so cute! Your boys personify childhood and rough and tumble boys! I love it.

Looks like you had so much fun! I miss Greenbluff! It's so funny - Coolidge reminds me of your dad for some reason in that picture of him next to the pumpkin!

I've been looking forward to going to Green Bluff all year and it doesn't look like we're going this year. This month went by super fast but I remember all the things there that we went to last year. I bet the apples were the best, and the pumpkin patch is always fun. I noticed your carved pumpkins in front of your house. The one that says "beware" who's is that one? I liked it. And you can really capitlize on how small Coolidge really was by that pumpkin.

ANNMARIE, I MISS YOU MOST AT HALLOWEEN! Halloween makes me think of you. I'm sure your little house is decked out as usual, and I got out some of your Preschool unit stuff last night for something to do with the kiddos. I miss you, and hope you enjoy your favorite Holiday!

Man, that was one gross looking pumpkin! Ours smelled pretty weird when we opened it up but no mold. Kaylee kept saying, "eewww it stinks!" She didn't even want to help scoop it. ;D You guys sure do have a gorgeous little bunch of boys, okay, maybe "little" is the wrong word. You look great though, and happy! Andersen's beard is a little on the scary side though...is he keeping it for Halloween?? LOL Love you guys.
