Cross Country Regionals

In high school my sister and I did Cross Country and Track, so when my Dad mentioned that the Regional Cross Country meet was going to be here in Spokane, Joann and I both said "Let's go!" Cross Country is huge in Spokane for some reason and it was so much fun watching the races (and not having to run). Plus, we were able to run some energy out of the boys. It was a gorgeous day to be outside.

This is the start of the girls' 4A race. 4A is the largest high school division in the state of Washington.

And they're off!

I was able to visit with some of my old coaches but, unfortunately our high school team is not as prestigious as when my sister and I were there. My freshman year was the first year our school had been to State and to every one's amazement we won! It was a great honor to be a part of that team. By the time I graduated, we had won 4 State titles, a first in Washington State Girls' Cross Country history. Good times, good memories.

Hey, I just noticed this post. That was fun going and watching the races. It was a nice day and I didn't have to stress to much about losing the boys except that one moment with Campbell. The only other downfall was not bringing water, right?
