It has been Spring Break this week so the boys have been out of school, but Andersen also had a vacation week! It has been a great week so far with nothing really planned and no projects to do. So today we decided to check out the Cincinnati Zoo.
It was so much fun not only to look at all the animals, but the boys got to chase a few, too.
We saw A LOT of animals, but this snake was Campbell's favorite. He could not tear his eyes away from it and when he realized he could touch it, that just made his day.
All the boys wanted to touch it, but Campbell was mesmerized and kept asking tons of funny questions.
There were birds...

giraffes...
seals, otters, polar bears...

seals, otters, polar bears...These monkeys (I know they're not "monkeys" they are chimpanzees or something more technical like that, but to the boys they were all monkeys) were great fun to watch swinging back and forth, but the boys loved the little turtle on the rock just as much.
This was in the reptile house where there was this fenced off pond full of alligators. The alligator right there in the water made me and Coolidge jump about a mile high when it made this incredibly loud snorting noise? Honking noise? What ever you would call it, it was loud and it got Coolidge and me really good (and a few people around us).

I think Waverly enjoyed her first trip to the zoo, too. The boys kept running up to her saying, "Look Waverly! Look at the ______!" And she would smile at them and go back to banging stuff on the stroller. They are so sweet with her.
The boys loved this little train ride that went through the park and we got to ride it a few times which was good to have a break from walking.
Choo! Choo!

Coolidge was refusing to smile so Andersen helped him out a bit, which made him laugh :o)
