Mason's 4th Birthday!

Yesterday, Mason turned 4 years old! And of course one of the privileges of being the birthday boy is picking what you want to eat for breakfast. The tradition has been waffles, but Mason decided to break away with a bowl of Colossal Crunch Berries (generic Capt'n Crunch)...

with a side of bacon and eggs!
Then we took a trip to the mall to play in the play area since I wouldn't take him to the wet, cold park. By the smile on his face I think this was an acceptable compromise.
And Coolidge was willing to go along too. What could be more fun that riding a giant duck?
For dinner Mason chose to go to Gatti Town. I always like this choice because it means I don't have to cook and the pizza and salad bar buffet means that the boys can eat as much as they want with little whining in my direction. "You want cottage cheese, a pickle, piece of pizza and croutons for dinner? No problem!" And you get to eat in a room with a movie playing on a theater screen. When we were eating, "Cars" was playing.
And then there is the games part of Gatti Town. With bumper cars...
all kinds of games where you can earn tickets and then turn in the tickets for prizes...

and a carousel.
As if that wasn't fun enough for one day, when we got home we had cake and opened presents.
I loved how excited Mason got over each present. Since we spent the big bucks at Gatti Town, that meant that it was dollar store presents this year, but you'd never tell by the excitement on his face :o)
And luckily he has some awesome grandparents that sent some cool presents, too. Thank you Papa and Nana!

And Thank you Grandpa and Grandma!

But, like I said before, nothing beat out this $1 glow in the dark sword Campbell bought Mason. May the force be with you!

This morning after I poured Mason a bowl of his breakfast cereal I left the kitchen for a few minutes and when I came back he had all of his prizes from Gatti Town lined up in front of him and it made me laugh. I think he had a pretty good birthday, don't you?

That's going to be us this year too. Jordan's birthday is tomorrow and we're going to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday, so we're going to get him dollar store presents. We went yesterday for an idea of what to get him and this big hit was the little creatures from the movie Planet 51. Mason is so cute! I love that he lined up all his toys, he looks happy! And a all you can eat buffet sounds perfect for your hungry boys.

What a good mama you are!

By the way, those posts with all of the "............." are porn sites. You may want to delete them. (I have them comment on my blog now and then and was so disturbed when I first discovered it!)
