Father-Son Campout

Friday and Saturday Andersen took Porter and Campbell on a Father & Son campout with our ward. They camped near Payson, AZ and it looks beautiful. The boys can't stop talking about it (especially a chipmunk that jumped into the fire and cooked himself). Anyway, I knew if I sent the camera with Andersen they would come home with no pictures so I sent it with Porter and he did a pretty good job.

The boys are waiting in the garage for their ride to come. They rode up with a friend of ours and his son. Mason thought he was going (the rule is you have to be potty-trained to go camping with Dad) and was pretty upset when the drove off with out him. But after a popsicle he was fine.

Andersen and the boys got the tent set up, but they kept finding a stow-away in there. This is our friend's son, Jacob. He was facinated with the tent because his dad and him were just sleeping in their van.
This is another one of the boys' friends, Matthew Aston. He's making sure the fire doesn't die down.
What's caming without a little hike. The boys, Jacob, Matthew, Porter, and Campbell are taking a break.
Andersen was trying to fix a tree that Campbell had knocked over.
Porter said he took a picture of these flowers for me.
Of course when the boys got home the were filthy, but Mason thought he needed a bath, too. I was helping Porter out of the bath when Campbell yelled, "Mom, Mason is in the bathtub!" Sure enought he had climbed in by himslef, shoes and all.
He didn't care.

I love my Mason! This is the best to see my kids and my grandkids!

How cute. You know, we have a similar picture of Brandon in the tub, only, he had already taken a bath and was in his pajamas ready for bed.

I want my kids to be old enough for a father-son campout but their not potty-trained yet. Dang it!
